A group session is a different kind of evening altogether. I do these for bridal showers and pamper parties, and for girls' nights that end up with everybody laughing at their own first attempt at winged liner. You still learn properly, and you learn it next to your friends, which takes a lot of the nerves out of it.

Most of the gift certificates I have written so far were bought by husbands, boyfriends and sons, and nearly every one of them started the conversation by telling me they had no idea what they were doing. Whoever you are buying for, the only thing you are choosing is the session itself. She picks the shade, the brand and the finish with me when she books.
And if you are wondering whether she might take it the wrong way, it is meant to be a lovely hour and a half. She brings her own makeup, we work with the things she already loves, there is no test at the end, and she goes home with a look she likes and the confidence to do it again on her own.
Tell me her name and the occasion and I will make her a certificate with her name on it, ready for you to print or to hand over on the day. She calls me when she is ready and we find a date that suits her.

Most lessons happen in my home studio in Orchard Park, where the lighting and the mirror are already set up properly for this. I can also come to you anywhere in Buffalo and Western New York for an additional travel fee, which is listed on my services menu.
Bring your current makeup bag and your brushes, all of it, including the things you bought once and never used, and come with a clean face and no makeup on. Working with what you already own is the whole point, because those are the products you will be reaching for on Monday morning.

No. I teach complete beginners who have never owned a proper brush, and I also work with women who are already comfortable and want to get sharper at one particular thing, and the session is built around wherever you are starting from.
No. I do not take commission from any brand, and I will happily tell you when something you already own is doing the job perfectly well.
