I come to you, either at your home or at the studio where you are shooting, and I coordinate the timing with you or directly with your photographer so that you are ready at exactly the moment the camera is. For photoshoots I always stay on the set during the shoot unless we have arranged something different, so if the light changes or the day runs long or you simply want a different look between outfits, I am right there to take care of it.
Two things before the day itself.
The same ingredients that block UV will bounce a flash straight back at the camera and leave a pale cast across your face in the photographs. Put it on well before I arrive if you want the protection anyway, and I will work over it with products that photograph cleanly.
Photos, a screenshot, a look you have been thinking about for months, all of it helps me understand how you see yourself for this shoot. Do tell me about allergies or sensitive skin at the same time!
One last thing that surprises almost everybody. A high definition camera reads every line and every edge, so what photographs beautifully is softer than what looks right in a mirror across a room, and you will be relieved how light it feels to wear.
Senior season here runs from spring through the middle of fall and the calendar fills up quickly from June onward, so if your session is booked or even close to booked it is worth getting in touch early. Many of my senior clients are having their makeup done professionally for the very first time, and my goal is to listen and make sure you walk into that session feeling completely like yourself and absolutely gorgeous.
Yes, I serve my clients on site in Buffalo and the surrounding areas, and I will travel anywhere throughout New York state as long as mileage and travel expenses are covered. I come to your home or to the studio, whichever is easier for your schedule.
This matters to me more than anything else on the whole list. My goal is to listen first and then to gently emphasize what is already beautiful about you rather than to cover it, so that when you look back at the photographs years from now you recognize the person in them.
You can be absolutely sure of it. I use professional products designed for high definition photography and film, and because I stay on the set during the shoot I can refresh anything that needs it between setups, even on a long or a very warm day.
Please leave it off your face if you can. The ingredients that make sunscreen work also reflect a camera flash and can leave a pale cast in your photographs. If you would rather wear it, put it on well before I arrive so it has time to settle and I will work over it with products that photograph cleanly.
Bring a few photos of looks you love, anything at all that you have saved, and please tell me about allergies or sensitive skin before we begin. If you are changing outfits during the shoot it helps to know that in advance so we can plan the look around them.
